Welcome to Northaw RacesAll the fun of the races! Northaw racecourse hosts a range of different racing events including an annual Point to Point, a Fun Race Day and, most recently, camel racing. The fun races on Saturday 21 May offered a day of excitement with camel racing, Shetland pony racing, hound racing and ferret racing. There was also be a demonstration of Pony Club mounted games. There were also refreshment tents and bookies, so that people could place bets.But the camel racing provided the best fun of all as the ships of the desert stormed along the race course towards the bucket of food at the end of the course, with their intrepid jockeys holding on fast! And best of all, proceeds went to the Herts Air Ambulance service. The next events in the calendar include a wild food evening on 19 November and a wine tasting and shopping event on 1 December.
